Some other songs I'm liking at the moment include Golden Blood by Friends Electric and Something in the Water by Brooke Fraser. I also heard Nicola Roberts' song "Beat of My Drum" and I'm not going to lie, after a few listens the chorus was stuck in my head. I think it's a grower. I'll be addicted to it soon.

I recently purchased The Orange Box for xbox since everyone seemed to be going on about Portal and I'd never played it before. I can see why everyone loves it. After playing for a couple of minutes I couldn't stop. It was Lilias Day yesterday (a village fete thing) and instead of going to the park and spending the day with mates, I watched the parade from my living room window before getting back to playing Portal. To be fair, I tried to make plans to go to the park but none of my mates were having it, so playing the xbox was the only suitable alternative. haha. I completed Portal shortly after watching the mid-series finale of Doctor Who (which was SO GOOD) and regretted not buying Portal 2 whilst at Silverburn earlier in the day.

I've still been covering for people at work, so I was in almost every day last week. Luckily for me, I have a couple of days off this week. Long lies then a little bit of preparation for Race For Life me thinks. (Which, by the way, if you'd like to sponsor me, you can do so here. Thank you.)

Jayne is away on her practice Gold Duke of Edinburgh hike so it's been pretty quiet around the house. I miss her annoying face.

I went to my papa's house yesterday and hung out with my uncle John, uncle Matthew, uncle Drew and Aunt Dawn. It was fun. :)

After I got home, Jayne and I went to the park to play on the swings. I'm such a child. There is a new slide at the park and I injured myself on it. :( I hurt my elbow and hit my head. Too funny, though I do have a massive bruise on my elbow now. We then went to the shop to get ice poles (because I really want a blue ice pole) but they didn't have any so we just had to settle for ice lollies instead. We then watched (500) Days of Summer before lazing about doing nothing for the rest of the night. The night before I had a Toy Story marathon where I wrapped myself in a blanket and munched on a big bar of Galaxy whilst watching all three Toy Story films. The parents and Jayne joined me before going to bed or falling asleep on the couch.

I got a voucher for £7.50 off my next Zone Card purchase from SPT for filling in a travel diary for them, but it has an expiary date, which is long before I actually need another zone card. Super lame. :/

Today is the last day of VEDA. it's been fun. During VEdM I was like "urgh, I have to make a video today. >.<" but I haven't felt like that at all this month, except for the days before an exam. Although, it wasn't as good as VEDM in many ways, like we didn't dance to anything this year. Aw well, there's always next year. :)

I really don't want to like it but I just can't stop listening to it. I was out partying twice this week and I loved the sight of the dance floor when this came on. Everyone just exploded into dance. It was great.

So I've pretty much loved Twin Atlantic since I saw them years and years ago at King Tut's entirely accidentally. Well, they were supporting someone else. Every time I sing along to any of their tunes, my accent gets thicker. No idea why. But yeah, I love Twin Atlantic. 

So today I had a couple of tutorial classes, ate lunch, made a video and then fell asleep. You can view that video here.
I was planning on going shopping with Jayne this evening for a Mother's Day present but Jayne went out. Laaaame. :/
