Rain, The Wombats and Garage Times

I love when it's all rainy after a few days of sun. It looks gorgeous out with all the green colours becoming bolder. :)

I got The Wombats new album, This Modern Glitch, in the post today. Not just any copy though, a signed copy. :D I also bought tickets to see them in October. I properly love them. :)

I went out with the uni folk to celebrate Gillian's 20th and the end of exams/start of summer. Such a good night! Plus, we all got some free passes, so that was nice. :)

I also got a new xbox since the old one broke. It got the red ring of death, so my dad got a repair kit and then it broke further. I think he was a bit annoyed at himself for trying to fix it before it got worse, but he shouldn't be since it would have happened sooner or later.
Today's been pretty uneventful except that I got up before 12 today and cooked some tuna pasta. I made a little bit too much unfortunately. I also made jelly. :D I wanted to make some french toast but there only is like three slices of bread left and I wasn't for going to the shop to buy more. Just have to make some next week after the parents have gone food shopping. :) I want to actually cook and bake things whilst I'm off instead of just making things from a box or something where all I need to do is add water and heat.

The music video for Bar On A by Greg Holden was put on YouTube today. You should check it out.

Cookies?

So I decided to make these today since they have been sitting in my kitchen for a few days (which is a hint my dad wanted someone to make them). Jayne read the instructions and decided we couldn't make them since we didn't have any eggs, but no eggs were needed so her Post It on the box that said "No eggs. Love, Cara" in her handwriting just proved she is a tube.
Anyway, it says that you add all the ingredients (water, oil and the cookie mix) and mix to form a soft dough but it wouldn't form a dough. Blahhh. So after getting my hands messy, it wouldn't stay fully stuck together to cut up into 8 bits to flatten into cookies. (I managed to only make 7 of various sizes.)

The before and after pictures looks pretty much the same tbh. My Dad laughed at them and called them a disaster.

I wouldn't say they are a disaster. Look-wise, yeah they might be but they taste good and I had fun making a mess making them. :) I totally prefer making cookies from scratch, but hey.
Next thing to bake (still from a box): Brownies.
We still don't have any eggs though so it might be a while before I get round to making them. Hopefully that won't turn out a disaster. :') Aw the cookies really do look like a child made them. Ahahaha.

I went to Braehead to get Jayne a birthday present since it's her birthday tomorrow and the stuff I ordered online won't get here in time. Hopefully she'll like it. She's 16 tomorrow. SO OLD. Makes me feel old actually. I realised the other day that her 18th and my 21st will be within months of each other which means she can come party for my birthday. I probably won't want her to be there, but aw well.

AlsoAlsoAlso, I love this song by Greg Holden probably too much. If you have never heard of him, I think you should go listen to his lovely songs. (L)

(I love the version this song with Julia Nunes on vocals too.)
