The Pile of Stuff at the Bottom of the Stairs

The Pile of Stuff at the Bottom of the Stairs - Christina Hopkinson

I just finished this book today. It was okay. I'd recommend it but it wasn't a book that I'd put down and want to lift and immediately start reading again. It was super easy for me to put it down and not read it again for a week or so or until I was bored. It was still good none the less and it did have those moments where you wanted to keep on reading. It even kind of made me want to cry a little bit towards the end.

Next book: Nineteen Eighty-Four - George Orwell

Jayne has her higher physics exam tomorrow. I'm doubting how much she has actually studied for it since she's been going out every night and lazing about through the day. I really hope she passes. I know she struggles with it, but so did I and I'm here to try and help her - if she'd ask for help.
Late shift again at work tomorrow. The last late shift I done was actually not bad. Pretty quiet but it went by quite quickly.
I've started drinking the green tea I got free from Clipper. It's quite nice. It's different from what I expected it to be but to be honest, I don't know how I expected it to taste. I like it though. :)

Usually Friday's are the worst day of the week for me - the only day I'm in uni 9-4 but today wasn't that bad even though every class was a haematology class and everyone on every possible site was quoting Friday by Rebecca Black.

For once I actually knew what I was doing in the tutorial this morning so I actually enjoyed it instead of fearing that I will be told off for not knowing stuff and wanting to look up my notes. That was followed by one of the most boring lectures of my life which was then followed by a three hour break. I used to have 3 hour breaks in the middle of my day all the time and we'd all go to Walkabout, Strathy union or just sit in the Saltire Centre scoffing ham and cheese toasties. Not so much any more. All we seem to do is sit in a computer lab mindlessly staring at our facebook homepage. That break could have been totally productive if I'd even have thought to email myself my essay or bring the results of the last lab in to write my lab report.

Since Greg and Dan are doing a 24 hour radio show for Red Nose Day, I decided I'd listen to them and make my break less boring, but I couldn't since the site they are live from is blocked at uni. Lame! Then I had an idea and was all "Ohhh, I can listen on my phone!" Nope. Awk well. I'm listening now, even though I have missed the majority of it. I don't want it to end.

I did get some awful news after uni today which I'd rather not post on here, or anywhere on the internet for that matter but I most likely will mention it at some point in the future since it is pretty huge and will majorly affect me. Probably more than it should. But don't worry, I'm okay.

I finished reading Submarine by Joe Dunthrone today and started reading The Pile of Stuff at the Bottom of the Stairs by Christina Hopkinson. Whist just googling stuff, I came across Joe Dunthrone's website and this wonderful Choose Your Own Adventure story. Well, it might not be wonderful but I enjoyed it. :)

So I keep reading in various places about people attempting to read 50 books in a year and I've decided I want to as well. Although, I'll probably never manage 50 books since uni work is bound to get in the way but I'm going to try anyway. :)
